The meditation space at Mareterra Monaco
Born from an ambitious extension project on the sea, Mareterra Monaco embodies the Principality's desire to combine modernity, respect for the environment and quality of life. In the heart of this new eco-responsible neighbourhood, the Prince Jacques promenade has been developed to offer residents and visitors a place of relaxation and conviviality. This pedestrian promenade, which winds along the coast, is an invitation to stroll, contemplate and discover original artistic projects.
Among these cultural initiatives, we find La Grotte Bleue that we have already talked about in a previous article, but also the "meditation space". This hidden crystalline cocoon with a predominantly pink colour, designed to arouse serenity and introspection, was designed by Vietnamese artist Tia-Thuy Nguyen. In this contemporary and nature-inspired setting, Mareterra illustrates Monaco's avant-garde approach, which is keen to promote harmonious and sustainable urban development, while cultivating an art of living that is resolutely focused on well-being.
A sensory space on the Promenade Prince Jacques
The meditation area, designed by Tia-Thuy Nguyen, is a real sensory cocoon, entirely lined with predominantly pink crystals, probably rose quartz, chosen for its visual softness and soothing properties. The artist carefully staged natural light so that it reflects and diffracts in contact with the minerals, creating a subtle play of shimmering reflections and iridescent shades. Upon entering the installation, the visitor is immersed in a hushed, almost dreamlike atmosphere, which encourages him to slow down and clear his mind.
Symbolically, Rose Quartz is traditionally associated with the heart chakra, love, and benevolence. Used in an immersive way, it becomes a call to meditation and inner harmony, inviting everyone to reconnect with their deepest emotions. Beyond simple contemplation, the overall experience is therefore designed to soothe the mind and promote a feeling of comfort. In the natural setting of the Prince Jacques promenade, Tia-Thuy Nguyen's installation blends harmoniously into the coastal environment, reinforcing the feeling of connection with nature and creating a gentle interlude in the new Mareterra district.
Who is Tia-Thuy Nguyen, the artist who designed the meditation space?
Tia-Thuy Nguyen is an artist of Vietnamese origin, known for her creative universe that explores the encounter between man, nature and spirituality. Her work is mainly based on the use of crystals and the subtle play of light, seeking to evoke a sense of serenity and connection with the environment. Before Mareterra's "meditation space" in Monaco, she had already created several installations in which she favoured the notion of a sensory cocoon, inviting the public to immerse themselves in a mineral universe where contemplation takes on an almost sacred dimension. Committed to an approach combining aesthetics and well-being, Tia-Thuy Nguyen offers an original artistic approach, focused on the beauty of minerals and their soothing power
Tia-Thuy Nguyen was an obvious choice for this project because of her singular artistic universe, which combines both mineral aesthetics and the search for a serene atmosphere. His previous creations—stagings of crystals, plays of light, immersive environments—testify to a desire to encourage contemplation and introspection. At Mareterra, where the architectural and environmental approach emphasizes well-being and connection with nature, its creative approach brings precisely this spiritual and sensory dimension sought. It is therefore for its ability to offer a multisensory experience, combining respect for nature, contemporary art and a space for meditation, the Vietnamese artist was chosen to design this crystalline cocoon on the Prince Jacques promenade.
Link with the environmental approach
Monaco, which has a long-standing commitment to environmental protection, has made Mareterra an eco-responsible district, designed to limit its impact on marine and terrestrial biodiversity as much as possible. The meditation space is totally in line with this vision: by enhancing natural materials (crystals) and using daylight as an essential element of the installation, it highlights the symbiotic relationship between man and nature. This artistic approach, which promotes tranquillity and contemplation, is fully in line with Monaco's objective of offering a sustainable and harmonious living environment, where art and nature respond to each other.

Mareterra and its exceptional infrastructures
In addition to its ambitious objectives in terms of sustainability and real estate prestige, Mareterra also stands out for its carefully designed infrastructure to blend harmoniously into the Monegasque coastline. Among the key elements of the project is the Petit Portier, Mareterra's private port, designed to accommodate pleasure boats and yachts in a modern and elegant environment. This port area is designed to preserve and enhance marine biodiversity, in accordance with the Principality's environmental approach. Access between the different levels of the new district and the port is provided by means of an internal service and a Periscope, technical installations intended to facilitate traffic and optimise travel within this site resolutely turned towards the future.
The seaside promenade
Another emblematic infrastructure is the Mareterra seafront promenade, which stretches for almost 600 metres. Benefiting from a panoramic view of the Mediterranean, it is a privileged place to relax and stroll. All along the route, the public can enjoy unobstructed views, landscaped green spaces, as well as facilities inviting relaxation. Among them, the "meditation space" of Tia-Thuy Nguyen, but also the Blue Grotto, a unique curiosity in which visitors will be able to observe the caissons forming the peripheral belt of the district. This innovative device, both utilitarian and aesthetic, showcases the technical prowess that allowed this territorial extension to the sea.
The Blue Grotto, an immersive space
The Blue Grotto, directly accessible from the promenade, perfectly illustrates the fun and educational dimension of Mareterra. This artificial cavity, crossed by daylight, offers a privileged observation point on the underwater structures designed to protect and stabilize the new stretch of coastline. Its special atmosphere, where shadow and light blend subtly, gives the place a mysterious and poetic side. An ideal time to take a contemplative break, in harmony with the sea and the surrounding marine ecosystem.
Towards a harmonious territorial extension
Thanks to these infrastructures—port, promenade, Blue Grotto, green spaces—Mareterra presents itself as an exemplary project combining technical prowess, exceptional design and respect for the environment. The installation of networks on the lower levels, the construction of the internal service and the care taken in the landscaping bear witness to Monaco's ambition for a territorial extension that enhances both urban life and nature. Future users and visitors of Mareterra will benefit from a new district where culture, well-being and exclusivity are combined, while maintaining the most respectful ecological footprint possible.
Mareterra: a prestigious and exclusive address
In addition to being a model of eco-responsible design, Mareterra is one of the most exclusive addresses in Monaco. Built around lush landscaping, this new neighborhood incorporates a collection of high-end real estate, designed to meet the highest standards of luxury and sustainability. There are luxury apartments, penthouses with panoramic views, as well as townhouses and seaside villas inspired by the elegance of Belle Époque residences.
Due to their rarity, these properties arouse the interest of a discerning international clientele, reinforcing Mareterra's reputation as the most prominent district in the Principality. Each architectural project is designed to combine prestige, respect for the environment and ultra-modern comfort. Moreover, the very design of the district illustrates this ambition: green spaces, a coastal promenade and high-end services intertwine, making Mareterra a reference in luxury real estate and a real invitation to an exclusive art of living, in the heart of Monaco.
Mareterra Monaco is now the perfect example of an urban extension combining sustainability, well-being and exclusivity. From innovative infrastructures, such as the Blue Grotto, to immersive artistic creations such as Tia-Thuy Nguyen's meditation space, everything contributes to offering a unique experience, driven by the magic of the Monegasque coastline and the desire to enhance the natural environment. This emblematic district, designed to meet the highest standards in terms of architecture and comfort, attracts an international clientele in search of exception.
